As a resident of Geneva for the past 15 years Debbie Gurley has enjoyed and grown her career as a real estate broker throughout the Fox Valley area and beyond. Over 95% of Debbie’s clients come from referrals and both she and Miscella are proud of this ongoing legacy. This area offers everything homeowners are looking for: good school systems, shopping and retail, restaurants and the natural beauty of the river and its proximity to downtowns. As an agent, Debbie assists and advises her clients in the purchase or sale of their home. Debbie’s new role as Managing Broker role will further help grow the Miscella overall business, brand, referrals, and agents.
Debbie’s prior career positions provided 20 + years of strong leadership & sales negotiating experience as Vice President of Sales for Fortune 500 electronic manufacturing & financial companies which positioned Debbie to be a results-oriented sales professional. Debbie has grown her real estate business through networking and volunteer activities in the local Chamber’s which provide a wonderful support for the local businesses! As an active member of three local Chamber of Commerce’s, Batavia, Geneva, and St. Charles her efforts have been applauded within each chamber and various positions she has held. Debbie is currently the Vice Chair of the Board of Directors for the St. Charles Chamber of Commerce, becoming the Chair in 2022. In 2015, Ms. Gurley was the recipient of the Women’s Business Council’s prestigious L.E.A.P Award recognizing, Leadership, Excellence, Achievement and Professionalism. Debbie was further recognized for her assistance to the Board and was honored with the Chairman’s Award in 2019.
Other organizations close to Debbie’s heart is volunteering at Mutual Ground where she has been a Board Member since 2015 and currently holds the position of Vice President of Fundraising. The mission of Mutual Ground is to empower individuals, families, and communities to eliminate domestic and sexual violence and the harms of substance use through education, awareness, and life-changing services.
Just a couple things that set Debbie apart would be some of her extra certifications above and beyond that help buyers and sellers with their home purchase or sale. Debbie is a CNE, Certified Negotiation Expert, helping on both sides of the sale or purchase of homes. She is also certified in Interior Redesign & Home Staging which is quite helpful when trying to sell your home and seeking guidance of where to start before putting it on the market. Debbie thoroughly enjoys utilizing her decorating and staging abilities to make sure her Seller’s homes are presented in the most marketable light.
